The AI Apprenticeship Programme (AIAP) was announced by MCI Minister Dr Yaacob Ibrahim on 3rd Nov at IMDA 1st anniversary event at Suntec.

The AIAP programme aims to train recent graduates in the the art of AI.

  • It is a 9-months full-time programme with a blend of classroom, online and hands-on project work.
  • Apprentices will be mentored by experienced AI, Big Data and High Performance Computing (HPC) practitioners.
  • Apprentices will also be working alongside researchers and professors in AI Singapore in industry projects
  • A monthly stipend will be provided to the trainees and all course fees are covered.

Potential apprentices will need to have programming experience and selection will be through interviews and evaluation workshops to be conducted over the next few months.

The initial plan is to train up to 200 apprentice over the next 3 years with the first batch starting in April 2018.
