Hi everyone,

This forum thread is for you to direct any possible queries prior to the workshop, especially for if you have troubleshooting issues. We will do our best to tend to your troubles. Otherwise, another possible way for us to tackle your issue is by reporting for the actual day early (say half an hour early) and have me take a look at the problem.

Cheers,

Ryzal

Hi,

I have registered for this coming Friday's  workshop #2 on machine learning hands-on but I don't think I am ready for it. Can I cancel my registration for this Friday  ?

I have booked the same session on 28 June instead

BK

Hi there, may I know roughly what will be covered in this workshop? Also, has the location been confirmed? The last I checked, it was still TBC. Thanks!

Hi @JarylLim9. The details for the workshop, including the venue, can be found at the event's Eventbrite page:
https://www.eventbrite.sg/e/ai-for-industry-hands-on-machine-learning-29-march-2019-tickets-57778267353

An email has also been sent out providing the same details to those who've signed up for the event. Do check for it. Thank you.

Hi, may I know what is the prerequisite for this workshop? Must I complete the Introduction to Python with Data Science first?

Hi all! We have made an revisions and updates to the workshop:

No local installation of softwares are required so all you need for the workshop are:

  • laptop that can connect to WiFi (staff laptops or laptops with SOE might fail in connecting with the WiFi provided due to firewalls or other settings)
  • web browsers (recommended to have Chrome or Firefox)
  • willingness to learn as we will be coding 🙂

See you all!

As stated for the completion of criteria of the AI4I programme, you have to attend 2 workshops in addition to DataCamp's "Data Scientist with Python" career track.

These 2 workshops consist of the following:

  • Workshop 1: Introduction to AI (aka AI for Everyone)
  • Workshop 2: Hands-on Machine Learning

The schedule timeline for the workshops can be found here.

Hi @alexhay,

Hi, may I know what is the prerequisite for this workshop? Must I complete the Introduction to Python with Data Science first?

Details for the workshop can be found on this event page:

https://www.eventbrite.sg/e/ai-for-industry-hands-on-machine-learning-27-april-2019-tickets-57778578283

To reiterate from the page details, the following courses from DataCamp's "Data Scientist with Python" career track would allow you to follow the hands-on workshop:

  • Courses 1 to 10
  • Courses 11 and 12
  • Course 18

While we don't prevent you from attending the workshop if you've yet to complete the aforementioned courses, it would be easier for you to follow the contents of the workshop if you have completed them.

Hi Ryzal,

I don't remember seeing these details when I registered for the workshop last month. I think it will be more fruitful for me to complete up to course 18 before I attend the workshop. Thanks for the info.

Hi Ryzal

I have signed up the July ML Workshop so that I can complete the whole AI4I course. Just to confirm that the ML workshop will proceed on 27 Jul this month.

Hi, I can make it for the 27-Jul-19 hands-on workshop. Is there any other sessions after this please?

Cheers,
